Amenorrhea in women with breast cancer who received chemotherapy: a case report

Introduction: Breast cancer is the second most common in premenopause age, has a better outcome now. Increasing early detection rates and effectiveness of adjuvant chemotherapy treatments are factors that influence prognosis dan survival rate. However, treatment can lead to ovarian dysfunction resulting decreased quality life.Case: A-29-year-old woman with breast received regimen Docetaxel, Doxorubicin, Cyclophosphamide for six cycles had no menstrual bleeding (amenorrhoea) after finished. Physical examination, gynecology, ultrasound showed abnormalities. Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) immunoserology laboratory test shallow results.Conclusion: The gonad toxicity effects on cause premature failure, which manifest as oligomenorrhea, amenorrhea, or known chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea (CIA), induction menopause (CIM).
